(Nitrogen Alloyed Powder Metal Tool Steel)
Vancron 40 is a nitrogen alloyed cold work tool steel, which is characterized by very high adhesive wear/galling resistance, good chipping and cracking resistance, and high compressive strength. Furthermore, Vancron 40 exhibits good through hardening properties, good dimensional stability in hardening, very good resistance to tempering back, and good WEDM properties. Due to its special manufacturing process, Vancron 40 does not need to be coated.
